San Antonio Village Collaborative, Oakland, CA

Members of Visual Element, an afterschool Spray Can Art class, painted this mural. Youth are from Oakland schools and the class is provided by the East Side Arts Alliance. The San Antonio Village Collaborative reclaims public school facilities for afterschool use by community based groups. Currently addressing the needs of the residents are a health clinic, Cycles for Change, tutoring, and arts classes.
